​Not an ideal candidate for micropigmentation procedure:

Below 18 years of age

Pregnant or Nursing

Diabetic/High Blood pressure (Consult with your doctor)

Undergoing Chemotherapy (Consult with your doctor)

Viral infections (diseases)
-
Fillers/Botox in the procedure area within a four week period of appointment

Organ transplantation
-
Epilepsy
-
Autoimmune disorder
-
Eczema, Dermatitis or Psoriasis on the area to be treated
-
Sick with a cold or flu-like virus
-
Accutane/Steroids in the past 6 months
-
Allergic to lidocaine (numbing cream) or nickel (needle) or Ink - A patch test can be done if you are unsure.

History of Keloid Scarring
-
Transmittable blood diseases such as HIV, Hepatitis, STD etc.
-
Actively tanned or burnt in the procedure area
-
Blemishes, herpes, sores, rashes, blisters and moles in or around the procedure area.

Additional Information:
-- For women, you may experience hypersensitivity and more pain around or during your menstrual cycle.
-- For added comfort, you may take Crocin Pain Relief or Dolo 650 (NOT ibuprofen), 30 minutes before your appointment to manage pain.
-- DO NOT consume alcohol, caffeine or take any blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, Niacin) 24-48 hours before your procedure, this will cause excess bleeding and may affect your results.​

Lip Specific
-
Lips must be moist and easy to work with. Please ensure you drink lots and lots of water starting one week prior to your appointment.

Lips must be exfoliated to the night before the appointment. Coconut oil and sugar makes a good scrub or you can use toothpaste and brush to remove all dead skin.

Important Note: This procedure may trigger cold sores. If you have had an outbreak in the past, please ensure you use *antiviral medications before and after the procedure for best healed results.*This is not a medical advice, please contact your doctor for more information regarding managing cold sores.​​
​
Brow Specific
-
Stop using any skin thinners (Vitamin A, glycolic acids, exfoliation) on the brow area 2 weeks prior to your appointment.
-
Any waxing or brow shaping should be done at least 2 days before.
-
If you tint your brows, tint it at least one week prior to the procedure.
​
Scalp Specific
-
Please wash hair thoroughly with shampoo on the day of the appointment since you cannot shampoo treated area for 7-10 days. However, you can gently wash with lukewarm water without soap/shampoo after the day of procedure for the following 7-10 days.

You may dye/colour your hair three days prior to the appointment.
